Internships

Internships provide valuable "on-the-job" experience, helping students explore professions before committing to a career.
Internships at the University of Tennessee's Rollins College of Business offer students valuable experience and academic outcomes under expert mentorship. These internships provide real-world practice, enhance technical skills, foster ethical behaviors, and build confidence, shaping realistic workforce expectations. Partner organizations benefit from professional and communicative students ready for business careers. Internships involve college students in temporary, on-the-job training roles with varying responsibilities, credit status, duration, and time commitment.

What are the benefits of an internship?
Internships allow you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations, gaining valuable career experience while still in college. They help build your resume and develop professional relationships that can open up career opportunities after graduation. Additionally, internships enable you to test-drive a career field, helping you determine if it’s the right fit or if you should explore other options. By working alongside professionals in your field of study, you gain insights and practical skills that are crucial for your future career.
