The College of Business is to committed to providing undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni with the tools and support they need to be academically prepared and business world ready. The Joseph F. Decosimo Success Center is one way we are meeting that goal.
The Joseph F. Decosimo Success Center, on the 2nd Floor of Fletcher Hall, is a one-stop shop that provides academic advising, experiential learning opportunities and career development assistance. The Decosimo Success Center staff is focused on helping individuals make the most of their academic opportunities and finding ways to apply their knowledge in the business world.
Renovations were recently completed on the 2nd Floor of Fletcher Hall to create a new, state-of-the art space for the Decosimo Success Center. The space now houses offices for Academic Advising, Career Development, team rooms, interview rooms, collaborate work spaces and a new Student Lounge.
As an undergraduate student, your relationship with your academic advisor is critical. Your advisor will work to understand you, your academic goals and career aspirations and will work with you to plan a successful academic experience. During one-on-one advising sessions, your advisor can assist you in scheduling classes, help you find ways to explore career options and provide support to help you stay on course to graduation.
The classroom experiences provided by our world-class faculty teach the theories and provide the academic foundation for a successful career. Experiential learning opportunities help bring those concepts to life. Opportunities such as company visits, live projects, networking opportunities, Bridge Luncheons and mentoring allow you to gain real-world experience and a clear understanding of how to apply their classroom knowledge in a business setting.
