Marketing: Professional Sales
Our classes are built on real-world scenarios and extensive hands-on learning, such as mock sales calls and negotiations, case studies, and simulations. Additionally, our Sales Institute offers lab space, networking opportunities, and corporate partnerships to help set our students up for a successful future.
Entrepreneurship
You’ll learn how to start or acquire a business, write a successful business plan, manage limited resources, attract venture funding, lead strong teams, and more.

Marketing: The Minor in Marketing offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills to prepare you for success in today’s competitive business landscape. This program complements any major, equipping you with tools to craft compelling campaigns, engage target audiences and make data-driven decisions.
Entrepreneurship: Pairing seamlessly with any major, this program introduces you to the fundamentals of business creation and commercialization. With a balanced curriculum of practical skills and theoretical knowledge, you'll learn how to turn artistic, scientific or professional expertise into successful ventures.
Professional Sales: This program is designed to make the study of sales accessible to students across all disciplines. This 18-hour program offers a mix of marketing, sales, retail, and business coursework, providing students with real-world knowledge and skills that can be applied across industries.

Our marketing program equips students with analytical and creative skills to build buyer-seller relationships, develop and manage products, and solve organizational and societal challenges.

Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is one of the fundamental drivers in a free market economy, and the primary source of U.S. job growth. We recognize the role of entrepreneurship in the global economy and prioritize it in our curriculum to get students ready for a business career.

Sales Institute: This resource is dedicated to student success, providing opportunities for networking with corporate partners and supporting students with internships and post-graduate job placement.
Pitch Competitions: Sponsored by the Max Fuller Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, these competitions offer students real-world experience in salesmanship and business analysis, supported by mentoring from faculty and community members.
Mocs Marketplace: Student-run retail space at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga that showcases and sells products and services created by UTC students and recent alumni. The Marketplace provides a unique platform for hands-on business experience, creativity, and entrepreneurial growth.
Partnerships: Collaborations with TSBDC, Co.Lab and the Edney Innovation Center connect students with Chattanooga’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
