Students seeking admission into the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) must meet the admission requirements of both the Graduate School and the UTC School of Nursing DNP Program. The completed application must be submitted by the appropriate deadline. 

DNP: Nursing for applicants with a MSN in an advanced practice nursing or nursing administration specialty, the application deadline is July 15, 2016. The entry term for this program is Spring

DNP: Nursing: Nursing Administration for applicants with a BSN or higher interested in specializing in Nursing Administration, the application deadline  is July 15, 2016. The entry term for this program is Spring

Applicants must have the appropriate degree from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, and documentation of all items requested as part of the application. Applicants will need the following form when requested during the application process to verify clinical hours: APN Clinical Hours Verification Form.

Important Application Information

The deadline is July 15, 2016 for entry in the 2017 cohort.  On-campus interviews will be scheduled during the first two weeks of August 2016.

Once admitted, a $500 non-refundable seat fee (payable by money order or cashiers’ check only) is required of all students. This fee will later be applied to tuition but is forfeited by those who do not enroll in the first semester. Those who do not enroll will also need to reapply for admission consideration at a later time and may be subject to an additional seat fee.

  1. To apply, applicants must apply to the Graduate School online. Click the button below and follow the instructions under the “Graduate Students” section.  Please ensure all transcripts and GRE or MAT scores are sent to and received by the Graduate School.
