RN-BSN Gateway Admissions

RN-BSN Applicants: Please do NOT register for any UTC Orientation (even though you will be asked to when you are admitted). You will attend an online RN-BSN specific Orientation (it's free) and your advisor will give you the details!

Application Process

1. Contact a program advisor by calling 423-425-5624 or emailing [email protected] to discuss the courses you'll need.
    
2. Apply to the University using the UTC Application Portal in advance of the admission deadlines. Apply by June 15 to start in August (Fall semester).  There is a $30 application fee. You will apply as a Transfer student unless you have a previous Bachelor’s degree (then you apply as Post-Bac).  If you have previously attended UTC you will apply as a “Transfer Readmission” and do not need to pay the fee (just hit submit when you get to the last page).

3. Ask your high school and colleges to send official transcripts to UTC Undergraduate Admissions, Dept. 5105, 615 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403. 
    
4. Complete the online RN-BSN Gateway application to apply to the program. To apply, click on the link below and it will take you to the UTC Application Portal. You will use the same email address and password as you used to complete your admissions application to UTC.  Once logged in, select the blue button that says "Other Applications" and you will see the option to select "RN-BSN Gateway Program" from that drop down menu. **You may still apply even if you have yet to take NCLEX and receive your RN License.  You are required to have your RN License before starting any RN-BSN classes.
