Summer Intern Housing
You can live on campus while interning this summer.
Summer 2026 intern housing is available to UTC students and other college students, who are interning at a local company.
Housing Accommodations
All interns live in one of our Residence Halls for Summer 2026. Your roommates will be other interns or summer school residents.
If you are requesting to have an apartment all to yourself, you will have to rent all four bedrooms in the apartment. All residents should expect to have roommates (you’ll still have a private bedroom) while living in UTC housing facilities unless the entire apartment is “bought out.”
Rates
$35 per night/per person, plus 9.25% tax.
$17 one-time fee for a MOCs ID card, $20 for a replacement
Available Dates
Dates for Summer Guest/Intern Housing are available between May 18th and July 19th, 2026.
The Process
- Complete a Summer Guest Housing/Intern application through our housing portal.
- Applications should be submitted at least two weeks (14 days) prior to your requested check-in date.
- May 30th, 2026 is the last day to request intern housing for the summer.
- Intern will upload to application or email to [email protected]:
- photo ID
- verification of enrollment at current university
- verification of internship/employment
- a headshot for UTC Mocs ID
- We will review applications starting April, any submitted April or later will be reviewed within three - four business days of submitting application.
- Once approved you will be given a code to book and pay for your room through our housing portal.
- Assignment and check-in details will be emailed to you within two days of your check-in.
- UTC staff will prepare a UTC affiliate ID for swipe access into the building. Intern will receive their ID at check-in.
*If the company you are interning with is paying your housing expenses directly to UTC, please email [email protected] first and then wait for additional instructions.
Check-In and Check-Out
- Report to the complex office when you arrive on your check-in date to check in (receive your key and ID card) between 9am-4pm.
- Schedule a checkout time with the housing staff on your designated checkout date 48 hours prior to your departure. Staff will inspect your empty/vacant room and collect your key.

Aquatics and Recreation Center (ARC) Membership
Membership Includes:
- 123,000 square ft. Aquatic and Recreation Center
- Secure access to ARC & Maclellan Gym
- Lounge space
- Basketball/volleyball/soccer courts at the ARC and multi-purpose courts at Maclellan Gym
- Indoor track
- Day use locks and lockers
- Fitness classes
- Fitness floor with cardio and weight machines, as well as, free weights
- 5 lap lanes
- Hot tub
- 2-story water slide
- Access to Intramural sports
- Access to Outdoor Programming equipment trips and rentals
- Bouldering wall and climbing tower
Membership Eligibility:
- Not a current UTC Student
- Must be living on-campus (18+ years old) in the residence halls that are associated with camps, conferences or internships (youth summer camp participants are not eligible)

Stop by the Campus Recreation office in the Aquatic and Recreation Center from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday to join.

Responsibility Statement
I understand that I am responsible for the temporary access card and the replacement of the card should I lose it. (Replacement cost is $20)
I understand that interns must abide by the Housing Contract and Student Handbook
I understand that I am responsible for the entire rent assessment for the dates I list in advance that I will reside in UTC Housing facilities ($35 person/night). Should I make the decision to vacate the housing prior to my planned check out date, I understand that no refund will be given.
I understand that if I wish to extend my stay longer than what was initially paid for I must notify the housing office and pay the additional fee 5 business days before my originally scheduled check out date.
Payment Information
Rent assessment for your entire stay is due at time of booking through our online system. Click Guest Housing Portal, then Intern/Short Stay, register for an account and then follow the steps to select a room and submit your payment. If you are a UTC student you will need to register for an account using a non UTC email address.
