Dear Band Day Participants,
We want to extend our most heartfelt THANK YOU for making Saturday such a special and memorable day. Your enthusiasm, musicianship, and positivity filled Finley Stadium with incredible energy! It's students like you who represent the bright future of collegiate marching bands, and we’re honored to have been a small part of your journey.
No matter where your path leads after high school, we hope you’ll consider joining us at UTC ... after all, it’s “the place to be!”
Regarding Saturday’s Game:
Many of you may have witnessed the fourth-quarter interception that led to several WCU football players displaying inappropriate gestures and using foul language. While the game’s outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, it is never acceptable for players or coaches to behave in that manner.
On behalf of UTC, please accept our sincere apologies for the visiting team’s unsportsmanlike conduct. The incident has been reported through the proper channels, and steps are being taken to ensure that our events continue to reflect the spirit of respect and sportsmanship that Chattanooga values.

ARE YOU READY TO BE A MARCHING MOC FOR A DAY?
UTC Band Day is an annual event that invites area high school band students to be VIP guests of the Marching Mocs for a day! Students participate in game day activities, including a morning rehearsal, pregame performance, and playing in the stands during the game. Students get the feeling of what it is like to be in a university marching band and are mentored by our very own Marching Mocs. Typically, we have some 300 students join us!
This year, we will be hosting our 18th annual Band Day on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, during our home game against Western Carolina. A special UTC Band Day t-shirt (which must be worn by all student participants), a meal and some UTC swag will be provided for everyone. We hope you can join us!
The registration deadline is by end of day, Sunday, October 12th. Students can register as individual participants, or Directors can register groups of 11 or more students.
Students
Students registering individually should be accompanied by either the Band Director or an adult chaperone who will be responsible.
All other adults or family members who may want to attend the game and Band Day festivities may purchase a ticket online through the UTC Athletics Department at a discount. To purchase tickets, use the code BANDDAY2025 with the following link: Band Day Game Tickets. NOTE: Purchase any general admission ticket in any section, and you will be able to sit near the band.
Groups
For those registering as a group, one adult (either director or chaperone) will be admitted free from each school for every 10 students registered.
Fees
The registration fee for Band Day 2025 is:
$28.00 per student, via Individual Registration
$25.00 per student, for Bands sending 11 to 30.
$20.00 per student, for Bands sending 30 or more!
Individuals and Groups will be required to make payment through our Ticketing Office at the Fine Arts Center. You will receive an electronic ticket(s).
All sales are final.
Music for the event will be sent to students and directors two weeks prior to the event, with an itinerary! Music will not be made available the day of! Students are required to bring their own instruments.
Drum majors, colorguard members, and majorettes are invited as well. Colorguard members should bring their own flag, and twirlers should bring their own baton. We will not have a front ensemble. We suggest that those who play in a front ensemble bring cymbals to play for the day.

FAQ
- I am a parent, do I need to buy the same ticket as my child?
No. Your ticket should be purchased through the Mocs Club. And you will need to use the Promo Code: BANDDAY2025
Only participants should purchase their ticket through the Fine Arts Center.
- Do we need to go to the Fine Arts Center for Band Day?
No. Participant tickets are purchased through the Fine Arts Center, but the event will be held at Finley Stadium!
- Will there be instruments provided?
Unfortunately, UTC cannot provide every student who registers an instrument. All student participants will need to bring their own.
