UTC Band Day

UTC Band Day is an annual event that invites area high school band students to be VIP guests of the Marching Mocs for a day! Students participate in game day activities including a morning rehearsal, pregame performance, and playing in the stands during the game. Students get the feeling of what it is like to be in a university marching band and are mentored by our very own Marching Mocs. Typically, we have some 300 students join us!

This year, we will be hosting our 17th annual Band Day on Saturday, September 28, 2024, during our home game against Portland State. A special UTC Band Day t-shirt (which must be worn by all student participants), a meal and some UTC swag will be provided for everyone. We hope you can join us!

The registration deadline is September 10. Students register as individual participants, or there will be a special link for groups of 10 or more students, paid by one check from school/boosters.  Students registering individually should be accompanied by either the Band Director or an adult chaperone who will be responsible.  For those registering as a group, one adult (either director or chaperone) will be admitted free from each school for every 10 students registered.  All other adults or family members who may want to attend the game and Band Day festivities may purchase a ticket online through the UTC Athletics Department at a discount using the following link and code. The registration fee for Band Day 2024 is 28.00 per student.  Students should register individually and be prepared to make your payment WHEN YOU REGISTER.  DO NOT BEGIN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SUBMIT YOUR PAYMENT!  

For groups of 10 students or more, the band director should use this link to register the entire group.  The group rate is 25.00 per student and must be paid by one check arriving to us at UTC NO LATER THAN Friday, September 20 at close of business. Checks WILL NOT be accepted on the day of the event. 

Music for the event will be posted for students to access. No music will be available on the day of the event. Drum majors, color guard members, and majorettes are invited as well. Color guard members should bring their own flag, and twirlers should bring their own baton. We will not have a front ensemble. We suggest that those who play in a front ensemble bring cymbals to play for the day.
