ARE YOU READY TO BE A MARCHING MOC FOR A DAY?
UTC Band Day is an annual event that invites area high school band students to be VIP guests of the Marching Mocs for a day!
Students participate in game day activities, including a morning rehearsal, pregame performance, and an in-the-stands performance during the game. Students get the feeling of what it is like to be in a University marching band and are mentored by our very own Marching Mocs. Typically, we have some 300 students join us!
This year, we will be hosting our 19th annual Band Day on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, during our home game against Mercer. A special UTC Band Day T-shirt (which must be worn by all student participants), a meal, and some UTC swag will be provided for everyone. We hope you can join us!
The registration deadline is Sunday, October 18th, at 11:59 PM. Students can register individually, or Directors can register groups of 11 or more students.
Students
Students registering individually should be accompanied by either their Band Director or an adult chaperone. The adult accompanying the student will be given a wristband at check-in on the day of the event.
All other adults, family members, or friends who may want to attend the game and Band Day festivities may purchase a ticket online through the UTC Athletics Department using the code: BD2026
NOTE: You may purchase any general admission ticket in any section and sit near the band.
Groups
For Directors wishing to register a group, one adult (either director or chaperone) will be admitted free from each school for every 10 students registered. Each adult will be given a wristband at check-in on the day of the event.
(Ex. School registers 31 students, 3 adults will be admitted for free).
Fees
The registration fee for Band Day 2026 is:
$28.00 per student, via Individual Registration
$25.00 per student, for Bands sending 11 to 30. (Discount code to be sent, after registration)
$20.00 per student, for Bands sending 30 or more! (Discount code to be sent, after registration)
Music for the event will be sent to students and directors two weeks before the event, with an itinerary! Music will not be made available on the day of the event! Students are required to bring their own instruments.
Drum majors, colorguard members, and majorettes/twirlers are invited as well. Colorguard members should bring their own flag, and twirlers should bring their own baton. We will not have a front ensemble. We highly recommend that those who play in a front ensemble bring cymbals to play for the day.

FAQ
- I am a parent, but not chaperoning my child; do I need to buy the same ticket as my child?
No. Your ticket should be purchased through the Mocs Club. And you will need to use the Promo Code: TBD
Only participants should purchase their ticket through the Fine Arts Center. Adult chaperones get in free!
- Do we need to go to the Fine Arts Center for Band Day?
No. Participant tickets are purchased through the Fine Arts Center, but the event will be held at Finley Stadium!
- Will there be instruments provided?
Unfortunately, UTC cannot provide an instrument for every student who registers. All student participants will need to bring their own.
