Percussion Ensemble

The UTC Percussion Ensemble, directed by Professor Ethan McDaniel, plays a significant role in the percussion curriculum at UTC. Dedicated to the performance of repertoire from a variety of periods and styles, emphasis is placed on excellence and performance. Through the exploration of both chamber and large ensemble works, utilizing a wide range of instrumentation, students will develop the skills and techniques to achieve artistic excellence on a variety of percussion instruments. The Percussion Ensemble is open to students from any major. A placement audition will take place the Sunday afternoon before classes start each semester to gauge the level of each percussionist.
