Singing Mocs Auditions!

Singing Mocs is UTC's contemporary commercial a cappella choir, specializing in pop and jazz vocal styles. They rehearse on Tuesday/Thursday from 5:00-6:15 p.m. This is a highly select choir, but there are a few open spots for the fall semester. Audition Sign-Up!

For the audition, you will need to prepare one verse and chorus of a song of your choosing—one that you feel best displays your vocal abilities. Please note that this is a contemporary commercial choir, so popular music styles are expected. Be prepared to sing your prepared solo a cappella (without accompaniment). That is all you’ll need to prepare in advance, though FYI, the rest of the audition will include some scales and arpeggios to test your vocal range, as well as some demonstrations of your sight-reading and aural skills.
