Chattanooga Singers
The Chattanooga Singers is a concert choir of mixed voices that performs a wide variety of music from a cappella works to major works with full orchestra. Founded by Dr. Glenn Draper following the merger of the University of Chattanooga and Chattanooga City College which created the new University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, they have a long tradition of performing in the Chattanooga area, throughout the United States and abroad. Dr. Kevin Ford is the current director and the membership is open to students of all majors through competitive audition. Any student interested in joining is welcome and is invited to audition by contacting the Choral Activities office at 423-425-4612 to set up an audition.
Auditions will be held at preregistration and the beginning of the fall semester. There is nothing to prepare. You will be asked to sing "My Country 'tis of Thee" (music provided) and your range and musicianship will be checked. Click here to email a request for an audition time.
