Wind Ensemble

The UTC Wind Ensemble is the flagship concert wind band at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The Wind Ensemble performs a varied repertoire ranging from the most cutting-edge literature to cornerstone pieces from the wind band literature. Membership in the Wind Ensemble is open to all UTC students, regardless of major. Seating in the ensemble is based on an audition that takes place before the semester’s start. The Wind Ensemble performs several concerts each year and is heavily involved in the Tri-State Honor Band in January. This academic year, the Wind Ensemble will be performing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City!

UTC Wind Ensemble Audition Information: 

The Wind Ensemble rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 PM until 5:20 PM. 

The UTC Wind Ensemble will be presenting a full concert in CARNEGIE HALL in New York City on Wednesday, March 18, 2026! Full details of the trip to New York will be available in the first week of classes. Please feel free to reach out to Professor Coleman ([email protected]) with any questions.
