Tours & Transcript Evaluation Request
Visit Us
The Department of Physical Therapy offers regularly scheduled tours of the James R. Mapp Building. These tours are open to current undergraduate students as well as those with a previously earned bachelor's degree who are considering applying to the program. Tours are open to students from all schools. Due to the volume of requests, we are not able to offer individual tours or meetings except for applicants who have already been admitted to the DPT program.
The program also offers virtual information sessions via Zoom. It is strongly encouraged, but not required, that you attend a virtual information session and request a transcript evaluation before the in-person building tour. You may register for a tour or information session and request a transcript evaluation at the links below. Please note that our application deadline is September 1st. Links to virtual tours of campus and the Mapp Building are also posted below.
A non-refundable deposit is required of accepted applicants. This is due 10 business days from the time the offer is made. Applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the program in the summer or fall leading up to the application deadline. If an applicant waits until an offer is extended to schedule a visit, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate that request before the deposit deadline.
Building Tours
Join us for an in-person tour of the James R. Mapp Building. All tours will begin in the 3rd floor lobby (main entrance) at Noon Eastern time. The building entrance is located on East 8th Street (use 410 East 8th Street in your GPS- do not put Mapp Building). Parking directions are listed below. Please note that this is primarily a tour of our building and classroom/ lab spaces. Specifics regarding admissions requirements, prerequisites, and the admissions process are addressed in the Virtual Information Session.
Tours are limited to eight applicants and one guest per applicant. You must create an account below to register.

The Mapp Building tour provides an overview of the program but does not provide an opportunity for individual advisement or transcript evaluation. We are happy to answer questions, however, and strongly recommend that you participate in a virtual information session and carefully review the admissions and applications information before your tour. You may request a transcript evaluation at the link below.
Virtual Information Sessions
Zoom in to a Virtual Physical Therapy Information Session and learn more about the UTC Department of Physical Therapy graduate program, meet with the admissions coordinator, and learn more about the admission requirements. These sessions are designed for students preparing to apply to the program in the next 2-3 years, however, current high school students are welcome to attend if their schedules permit it.
Attending an information session prior to a building tour is strongly encouraged. Click on any session below, create an account and register and reserve your spot.

Individual Advisement/ Transcript Evaluation
All advisements begin with a transcript evaluation. Prospective applicants may request an advisement at the link below. You must submit unofficial PDF copies of all undergraduate transcripts from each school attended, and all unofficial GRE scores as directed in the link. This includes original transcripts from all dual enrollment, transfer, and community college programs, even if they are reflected on your primary transcript. Failure to submit transcripts from all schools attended will delay the evaluation process. We do not consider graduate level coursework in the admissions decision, and graduate transcripts are not required. Current UTC students do not need to submit transcripts, but should include a UTC ID.
Current High School Students
Due to the volume of requests we are unable to offer individual tours or meetings for high school students. Students are typically better served by meeting with an undergraduate advisor or by contacting the UTC pre-health advisor. Current high school students should visit this link for information on tours designed specifically for their needs.
Parking and Directions
Non-UTC guests should park in the Visitor Parking Garage on Mocs Alumni Drive (formerly East 5th Street). The Mapp Building is located at the corner of East 8th and Houston Streets. The building entrance is on East 8th Street.
