International Tea Time

Twice a month, the Center for Global Education hosts International Tea Time. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to enjoy different types of tea while learning about different cultures.

Global Spotlight

NEW—The Center for Global Education recently launched Global Spotlight, platform through which UTC international students can share their culture and traditions with the UTC community.

This program is very casual and may include presentations, dance performances, music and Q&A.

Global Spotlight allows for cultural exchange and learning between attendees and is open to the whole UTC community.

Countries featured in the past: Armenia, China, Georgia, Germany, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Uganda.

Every year, the Center for Global Education hosts a week of events to celebrate International Education Week. 

International Education Week 2019 will be from November 18th to November 23rd.

IEW Scavenger Hunt

The Center for Global Education is hosting a campus-wide scavenger hunt for all UTC students to participate in. Find all of the flags and take a selfie to score a free International Education Week t-shirt!

Clues will be available for pick up in Hooper 203 from Monday, November 18 to Friday, November 22 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Once you find all 10 flags, show us your Instagram story or selfies in Hooper 203, from Monday, November 18 to Friday, November 22 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. to redeem your t-shirt.

What Diversity Means to Me Wall

The "Before I Die" project by Candy Chang examines the ways the walls of our cities can help us grapple with death and meaning as a community today.

The Center for Global Education is creating a UTC tailored version of this project in the form of a board that will move around campus. We invite students to place their thoughts on this board and come together as a university to examine what diversity means to us in our world today.

Study Abroad 101

UC Ocoee Room 

UTC students interested in semester or year-long study abroad are required to attend a general study abroad information session offered by the UTC Office of Study Abroad. UTC Study Abroad office staff will discuss available programs, how you should choose the best program, transfer of credit, application procedures, financial aid, and scholarships. You will learn “almost” everything about study abroad programs and UTC policies so that you will get the best out of your study abroad experience.
