International Tea Time
Twice a month, the Center for Global Education hosts International Tea Time. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to enjoy different types of tea while learning about different cultures.
Spring 2021 dates:
Due to COVID-19, we will NOT be hosting International Tea Time this semester. Instead, we will be hosting Vitural Language Hours (see below).
Language Hour
Learn basic words and phrases in different languages throughout the semester. Our own international students and staff will be teaching us how to speak in their native languages.

Day Trips
Every semester, the Center for Global Education sponsors free trips for international and domestic students to nearby cities and attractions.
These trips are meant to be fun but also educational.

Global Spotlight
NEW—The Center for Global Education recently launched Global Spotlight, a platform through which UTC international students can share their culture and traditions with the UTC community.
This program is very casual and may include presentations, dance performances, music and Q&A.
Global Spotlight allows for cultural exchange and learning between attendees and is open to the whole UTC community.
Countries featured in the past: Armenia, China, Georgia, Germany, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Uganda.

Every semester, our office hosts several OPT information sessions. Mandatory attendance is required if you are planning to request OPT.
