Understanding AP and Dual Enrollment
Here's how to transfer your credits to UTC.
AP Credit
AP, or advanced placement courses are college-level courses a student can take in high school. After completing an AP course, students take an exam that determines the earned college credit.
UTC cannot accept proof of college-level credit from high school transcripts. Instead, students must send their AP exam score information from the provider of the exam, such as the College Board.
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment refers to college-level courses students take while in high school that can meet on a college campus or at the high school.
UTC cannot accept proof of college-level credit from high school transcripts. Instead, students must have dual enrollment transcripts sent from the higher education institution that awarded earned credit, such as a community college.
