Commencement Participation Request

Students Should Only Submit This Form If...

  • They are graduating in August and would like to participate in a ceremony; OR
  • They are unable to participate in the commencement ceremony that aligns with their final semester of enrollment. 

PLEASE NOTE: Participating in a commencement ceremony is not equivalent to receiving an awarded degree.

Undergraduate graduation 2022

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Bachelor's Degrees

Students must meet the following requirements:

  1. Apply to graduate in MyMocsNet.
  2. Have no more than 20 incomplete remaining by the time of Commencement ceremony.
  3. Meet the minimum GPA requirements for graduation including ALL of the following:
    • Institutional (UTC) GPA
    • Major GPA
    • Overall (Combined) GPA

GRADUATE STUDENTS

Doctoral, Master's, & Specialist Degrees

Students must meet the following requirements:

  1. Apply to graduate in MyMocsNet.
  2. Must EITHER (a) be enrolled in a non-thesis or non-dissertation program OR (b) have their thesis or dissertation defended and submitted to UTC scholar.
  3. Have no more than 6 hours remaining for degree completion.
  4. Register for remaining credit hours.
  5. Meet the minimum GPA requirements for the degree.
