What classes do I take?

Your major determines which math course you must take. Your ACT score determines your readiness to take the course your major requires.

Therefore, you should look at the major you’re planning to pursue at UTC to see which course you need. Because some courses require a certain ACT math subscore for course registration, you must know your math score before proceeding.   

At any point if you decide to change your major, be aware that you may be required to take additional math courses to fulfill requirements for that major. If you have any questions about which math course you should register for, call the Center for Academic Support and Advisement at 423-425-4573 to speak with an academic advisor.
