Summer Algebra Enrichment Program
For Rising 8th through 11th Graders
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga College of Engineering and Computer Science and University of Tennessee, Knoxville Tickle College of Engineering is pleased to offer a Summer Algebra Enrichment Program. This program provides a great opportunity for students who struggled in Algebra during the school year to strengthen skills in this foundational subject.
This two-week program combines remediation sessions in Algebra I with on-campus experiences to give students the opportunity to experience STEM in a whole new way. A typical daily schedule includes Algebra instruction in the morning with mentoring sessions, college readiness programming, and STEM activities in the afternoon. During mentoring blocks, participants work with a mentor who help students build their motivation and self-efficacy.
