Residential Learning College
The CECS Residential Learning College (RLC) will provide you with a unique, inclusive residential experience that takes education outside of the classroom and allows you to learn where you live—alongside students interested in engineering, technology and computer science. Live in an environment where you’re educated through a unique experience that fosters learning, character development, maturity and individual growth.

Application Form
In addition to the form below, please also submit a separate application for UTC Housing.
Applications are now being accepted for the next academic year. See form below.
Note that RLC applications are first reviewed in January and then, from that point forward, in the order in which they are submitted. Please apply early if you are interested!
RLC members build community through exciting excursions, like whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River.
The CECS wants to encourage RLC participation for all incoming UTC students in the fields of engineering, engineering management technology, and computer science. First-time freshmen students with financial hardship should contact the RLC Program Manager with a request for consideration of a CECS RLC Gap Scholarship to cover the gap in cost for the upcoming school year between less expensive housing options on campus and the UC Foundation residence hall, where the CECS RLC is housed. Before contacting the RLC Program Manager, please ensure:
- the RLC application has been completed and the student has received a confirmation of their acceptance into the CECS RLC,
- a FAFSA has been filed with the UTC Financial Aid office (Note: the Student Aid Index on file will be reviewed and considered by the scholarship committee),
- and the Housing application has been completed and any fees or deposits have been submitted.
Requests for consideration of s CECS RLC Gap Scholarship should be sent to [email protected]. Please ensure you address each of the three points listed above and feel welcome to share any relevant information that should be considered by the scholarship committee. Thank you.
