This position is responsible for providing technical support to the Low Carbon Solutions (LCS) business unit within Propex. Project Engineers at Propex provide technical support to the internal and external Propex Sales Team, Marketing, and other Propex teammates. In additions to the internal team, Project Engineers offer technical support to other engineers, contractors, owners, specifiers, etc. who have an interest in using Propex solutions. The successful candidate should expect to be knowledgeable in geotechnical, transportation, environmental, and hydraulic engineering. Project Engineers can also expect to work with other members of the commercial team to drive marketing and new product innovation initiatives. Responsibilities and duties will include:
• Understands and applies the basic engineering concepts, practices, and theories involved in the design/development/review/permitting, construction, maintenance, operations, or repair of, projects/sites and their potential environmental and safety impacts.
• Prepares/reviews engineering/technical plans and/or data for completeness, compatibility, compliance with engineering principles, standards, codes, and design needs; makes suggestions to higher level engineers or managers on project concerns/issues.
• Makes decisions on routine engineering matters or other areas requiring technical engineering knowledge. Decisions are subject to review.
• Expresses basic engineering concepts and related facts in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
• Writes clear, concise, and organized documents and reports addressing basic engineering concepts and facts.
