Faculty
Project Archivist
The Special Collections unit seeks a dynamic candidate for the 18-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment of Project Archivist beginning August 1, 2024 and ending January 31, 2026. The successful candidate will process and describe 125 linear feet of archival material amassed by Tommie F. Brown (1934- ), an accomplished civic leader, educator, researcher, and state legislator whose career is defined by historic firsts, including serving from 1992-2012 as the first Black woman to represent the 28th District in the Tennessee House of Representatives.
The Project Archivist position is generously funded by the National Historical Publications & Records Commission (NHPRC) to complete “One of the Black Legislators”: Providing Access to the Tommie F. Brown Papers (RH-103542-23).;
The minimum annual salary is $53,000, commensurate with experience.

Staff
Technology Trainer/Studio Specialist
UTC Library seeks a Technology Trainer and Studio Specialist to serve in the Studio. The primary focus of this position is to provide training for Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to UTC students and personnel. Training and support includes leading workshops in person and online, creating supporting learning materials in print and online, and providing individual or group consultations. In addition, this position supports general Studio operations in the evenings including circulating audiovisual equipment, overseeing access to multimedia production suites, providing 3D printing services, and providing point-of-need help to Studio users.
This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position with a starting salary of $43,929.60. The work schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday afternoon and evening hours.
