Biography
Professor Runyon leads a team of faculty and staff archivists, student assistants, and interns to provide access to distinctive collections by providing instruction and reference services, actively cultivating donors, developing grant proposals, and fostering partnerships with various external projects and organizations, including the joint and stewardship of the Chattanooga History Collections with the Chattanooga Public Library. She loves to work with interns to develop mission-driven projects in Special Collections and faculty to develop open pedagogy assignments.
Carolyn joined UTC in July 2013. She earned her M.L.I.S. in Archives and Records Management from the University of South Carolina and has a B.A. in Archaeology and History from the University of Virginia.
