Chapel Cowden

Biography

Chapel has a B.S. in Anthropology from UTC, a former career as an interpretive manager in a zoological park, and an M.S. in Information Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she focused her studies on bioinformatics and resources for the scientific disciplines. As the Health and Science Librarian at UTC, she specializes in health and science-related instruction, evidence synthesis consultation, and assisting the campus in navigating research impact through bibliometrics .

Chapel is also an adjunct professor in the University Honors College, teaching an annual course, Perspectives on Death & Dying, with Dr. Jenny Holcombe from the Nursing department.
