Biography
Professor Fleming helps scholars navigate publishing and information policy to promote accessibility, open educational practices, and impact through their work stewarding the UTC Library’s Affordable Course Materials Initiatives and open publishing programs, the institutional repository UTC Scholar, and open scholarship initiatives including research data management support and publishing support.
Professor Fleming's research interests include exploring collaborative solutions to shared problems in libraries. Professor Fleming is active professionally at the state and national level, serving on the steering committee for THEC's Tennessee Open Education initiative and as elected ALA Councilor for Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a Division of the American Library Association. Professor Fleming holds a BA in History from Grinnell College, and an MA in Library Science from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
