Biography
Nora Ketron is Director of Access Services and Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Library. In this role, she provides leadership for circulation, interlibrary loan and resource sharing services, student employment programs, and public service operations. Her work focuses on creating accessible, student-centered library services that support learning, engagement, and success. Prior to joining the UTC Library in 2020, Nora held management and leadership positions across the private and nonprofit sectors, developing expertise in personnel management, organizational development, customer experience, and operational leadership. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology, with a minor in Women's Studies, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Nora's professional interests include student wellbeing, equitable access to library services and resources, student employment and workplace learning, organizational culture, employee development, and the assessment of library services. She is particularly interested in the role of academic libraries as partners in holistic student success and in developing services, spaces, and programs that foster belonging and reduce barriers to engagement. She has presented on academic library recruitment and library systems administration at regional and national conferences and has secured grant funding in support of student wellness initiatives. Nora is active in university and library governance through committee service and leadership activities.
