Most of my career has been teaching at the secondary level, primarily at the Baylor School locally. I am particularly interested in the history of American political parties, and in political, military, and intellectual conflict generally. I co-authored the Western Civilization curriculum used at Baylor for a number of years.

I have been an adjunct for about 25 years in both the Political Science Department (teaching mainly World Politics and US Government) and the History Department (teaching the US survey.)
