Research Experiences for Undergraduates in Mathematics
With the support of the National Science Foundation, the UTC Department of Mathematics is proud to offer a eight week summer program for undergraduate students to conduct independent mathematical research under the guidance of the faculty mentors.
The NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students and REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program.
Research topics for the UTC Mathematics REU program include Differential and Difference Equations, Math Modeling in Biology and Number Theory and Probability. This program will accept 8-10 students each summer.
Faculty Mentors
Dr. John R. Graef, Professor, UTC Department of Mathematics
Dr. Lingju Kong, Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Andrew Ledoan, Assistant Professor of Mathematics
