Grayson H. Walker Excellence in Teaching Award
In 2019, the Walker Center for Teaching and Learning established the Grayson H. Walker Excellence in Teaching Award.
In 1996, Dr. Grayson H. Walker, Provost and Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs, formed the center, which was later renamed in his honor. This award is established in his honor to recognize a faculty member who exhibits excellence in teaching through the application of best practices in teaching and learning.
Nominations for this award are accepted in the spring and the recipient is announced at the Instructional Excellence Conference.
The 2019 award recipient is Tonya Miller, Assistant Professor of Interior Design.
