Work Rule Program
In the event you are not eligible to be reclassified to in-state, the Work Rule Program (section 4, paragraph 3) may be an option for you. The Work Rule Program is designed for part-time students who are employed full-time in Tennessee to have the out-of-state tuition waived for up to a maximum of eight (8) credit hours per semester. After you've been admitted, just submit a letter from your employer on company letter head stating that you are a full-time employee.
Military Benefits
Members of the U.S. Armed Forces (or their spouse or dependent child) who have been on active duty for more than thirty (30) days with Permanent Change of Station Orders to Tennessee, are eligible to have their out-of-state tuition waived.
Perhaps you have separated or retired from the military within the past three years and are certified to receive Post-9/11 G.I. or Montgomery G.I. bill benefits. You (or your spouse or dependent child) may qualify for a waiver of the out-of-state tuition under the Tennessee VETS Act.
Scholarships
The Graduate School has a limited number of scholarships, most of which are single course scholarships. To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.0 institutional cumulative GPA. Deadline to apply for Graduate Scholarships is February 15. Applications must be submitted to [email protected]
