Graduate School Scholarships
There are a limited number of scholarships awarded by the Graduate School , To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.0 institutional cumulative GPA. Deadline to apply for Graduate School Scholarships is February 15.
- Elwell Family Scholarship in Graduate Studies is for a student that has exhibited substantial leadership experience and successful academic performance. Recipient must be currently enrolled or fully admitted into a major in the UTC Graduate School; financial need may be a consideration.
- Geraghty Scholarship is for a student in the M.B.A. program. Preference is given to applicants without an undergraduate degree in business.
- The Graduate School Scholarship recognizes a student in any discipline who has need and demonstrates merit.
- John Dyer – for MPA students with academic merit and financial need (must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA).
- Welter – for students are single parents with academic merit

UTC Users Scholarship Application
For current students and applicants with a valid UTC User ID, please submit the application below. If prompted, log in with your UTC ID and password.
Non-User Scholarship Application
For applicants without a UTC ID, please submit the application below. Click the "Create a New Account" link to create an account with Next Gen Dynamic Forms. Then activate your account by clicking a link in the e-mail sent to the e-mail you provided. After activating your account, you will be logged in and after clicking the "Continue" button you will be directed to the form you requested.
UTC Financial Aid Scholarships
There are a limited number of scholarships awarded through the UTC Financial Aid Office. Application deadlines may vary.
- Charles Foundation Scholarships are available to select full-time students in engineering or education.
- Fincannon Scholarships are awarded to previously married and widowed persons, male or female, who are not currently married.
- Finley Scholarships are awarded to eligible students that are single parents.
- Lebovitz Scholarships are awarded to eligible students of the Jewish faith.

Other UTC Scholarship Opportunities
Various UTC colleges and academic programs also offer additional scholarship opportunities.
- Music performance grants are available for the bands, singing groups and orchestra. Applications are made to the head of the Music Division.
- The Radin Scholarship is awarded to students in the liberal arts. Learn more and apply here.
- Community Development Work Study Program Fellowships are awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to students with economic need majoring in Public Administration. *These fellowships are available only when UTC receives funding.
- Criminal Justice Department Scholarship, The Graduate Doc Schettler Scholarship provides a maximum of $3,000 annually to a fully admitted student to the Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice degree program. Learn more and apply here.

Qualifying students can use remaining TN HOPE Scholarship eligibility to pursue an advanced degree!
TN Hope Expansion
Students who are eligible for the TN HOPE Scholarship in Fall'23 and thereafter, can receive the scholarship until the first of the following terminating events happen:
- You have earned an advanced degree; OR
- Five (5) years have passed from the date of initial enrollment at any postsecondary institution.
NOTE: To Continue Eligibility while pursuing an advanced degree, continuous enrollment each fall & spring is required.
