SOE Honor Society
Every spring, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Education recognizes its most distinguished teacher candidates through induction into the SOE Honor Society.
Membership is extended by invitation to students who demonstrate academic excellence and a strong record of professional dispositions. To qualify, undergraduate students seeking licensure must have a minimum 3.5 institutional GPA and at least 60 completed credit hours; graduate students must hold a 3.5 GPA with at least 15 hours completed. A one-time fee is collected at the time of induction.
Members who successfully complete their programs in good standing receive a light blue cord to be worn at graduation.
