Certificate in Instructional Coaching
UTC is now offering a 12-credit certificate in Instructional Coaching. This certificate is designed for educators who either already have a master's degree and want to complete a concentration in instructional coaching, or for students who don’t have a master's degree but who want to begin an advanced program in education.
- About the Program
- This certificate program will develop and strengthen skills needed by instructional coaches to assist classroom teachers to improve instruction, design quality curriculum, and effectively use data to determine areas in need of improvement. - The certificate program can be completed in as few as two semesters and students must be admitted into the graduate school at UTC. Most courses count toward a Master's Degree in School Leadership should the student wish to continue in a masters program (must be accepted into the school leadership program).

- Required coursework- EDAS 5710 Leadership for School Improvement - 3cr - EDAS 5750 Instructional Leadership and Assessment - 3cr 
 Elective Coursework- Students must select two of the following courses: - EDAS 5740 Curriculum Leadership - 3cr - EDUC 5080 Collaboration and Consultation - 3cr - EDUC 5710 Principles of Instructional Design and Development - 3cr
