- DELEGATES: Members who’ve applied and been elected to vote on important housing issues, including programs. (Positions available!)
- CONFERENCES: Executive Board and Delegates attend local, regional, and national leadership conferences to exchange ideas, network with other RHA organizations, develop leadership skills, and HAVE FUN!!
- PROGRAMS: Welcome Back Bingo, Beat the Heat, Planted, Socials, Movie Night, and more!
General Body Meetings will take place biweekly starting August 28 at 6 p.m. in the Racoon Mountain Room in the UC.
RHA’s Mission Statement
RHA’s mission is to support UTC students living on campus by advocating for their needs, providing a safe, welcoming community, and serving outside entities in Chattanooga. RHA strives to follow through on this mission by surveying students, connecting with housing leadership, creating community-focused events, and facilitating service opportunities.
RHA’s Creed
We believe in the partnership and well being of all residents living on campus. We grasp the ideas, values, interests, and concerns presented to us by any resident or staff of the Department of Housing and Residence Life and approach them in a way to most successfully fulfill their needs.
Getting Involved
RHA meets once a week to discuss business surrounding the organization and the residence halls and to plan programs and events on campus. Every resident that lives in UTC's housing complexes is a member of RHA and welcome at each meeting; however, we will be looking for residents to serve as voting delegates for their complex. There will be one delegate per one-hundred residents in each complex (about 30-35 voting delegates total) who will represent their building at RHA's general body meetings. If you are interested in being one of these delegates and representing your complex and the residents that live there, watch for an email from us early in each semester. If you have any questions before then, please call the RHA office at the number provided below.
Next Steps
Feel free to leave us a message and a number where we can contact you, or send an email to [email protected] and we will reply as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, the RHA Office is located on the ground floor of UCF. We do not have a direct line, but you can call the JO Office to speak to Meghan at 423-425-1035.
