Public Record Requests
Public record requests for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga are fulfilled by UT System Administration.
Per the Tennessee Public Records Act, Tennessee residents can request records made or received in connection with the transaction of official University business. Along with complying with the Tennessee Public Records Act, the University aims to respond as efficiently and promptly as possible.
Requests receive responses within seven business days. A response acknowledges receipt of the request and includes one of the following:
- Notification that records are available
- Denial of the request, and on what basis
- Estimate of time needed to produce records
Requests for paper or electronic copies may be submitted in writing or through the online request form. Requests submitted verbally will be entered in the online request form.
