Gerald Stark, Ph.D, MSEM, CPO/L, FAAOP (D) is the Assistant Director and Senior Instructor for the Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics in the School of Biological Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is formally the Senior Upper Limb Clinical Specialist for Ottobock Healthcare and VP of Product Development for the Fillauer companies in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Dr. Stark received his Mechanical Engineering Degree from Northern Illinois University in 1989 and his prosthetic and orthotic certificate from Northwestern University. He attained his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He continued his education and received his Ph.D of Education in Organizational Learning and Leadership specializing in systemic anxiety and its affect on innovation. He is also a Fellow with Distinction for the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and licensed Prosthetist-Orthotist in the State of Tennessee.

Gerry has been honored by Northern Illinois University as an “Outstanding Engineering Alumni” in 2006 and “Outstanding Doctoral Student” in 2013 for the Learning and Leadership Program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Graduate School. In 2015 he was named the “Outstanding Clinical Educator” from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. He serves on numerous professional boards and is a Fellow with Distinction for the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
