BIOL 2060/2080 to BIOL 2010/2020 Transition FAQ

What do you need to know about the transition to BIOL 2010/2020, Anatomy and Physiology I and II?

We are transitioning from BIOL 2060 (Human Anatomy) and BIOL 2080 (Human Physiology) to BIOL 2010 (Anatomy & Physiology I) and BIOL 2020 (Anatomy & Physiology II). The schedule for the transition is below.

• Fall 2026: BIOL 2060/2080 will be offered in person, This will be the last time BIOL 2060 is offered during a fall or spring semester (it will still be available in Summer 2027).
• Spring 2027: BIOL 2080 (lecture/lab in person) will be offered for the last time during a fall or spring semester. BIOL 2010 (lecture and lab, in person) will also be offered. . 
• Summer 2027: BIOL 2060/2080 will be offered for the final time.
• Fall 2027: The new sequence continues with BIOL 2010/2020 offered in person.

What are the prerequisites for BIOL 2010? 

There are not any prerequisites for BIOL 2010.

When can I take BIOL 2010?

Beginning in Spring 2027, it will be offered every fall and spring semester.

What are the prerequisites for BIOL 2020?

BIOL 2010 with a C or better and CHEM 1050/CHEM 1050L or CHEM 1110/CHEM 1110L with a C or better 

Will BIOL 2060 count as a prerequisite for BIOL 2020?

No

When can I take BIOL 2020?

Beginning in Fall 2027, it will be offered every fall and spring semester.

Will BIOL 2010/2020 be offered online?

Not likely.

What if I earn a D, F, or W in BIOL 2060 in Fall 2026 and want to retake?

It can be retaken in Summer 2027.

What if I earn a D, F, or W in BIOL 2060 in Summer 2027? 

There will not be an option to replace the grade.

What if I earn a D, F, or W in BIOL 2080 in Fall 2026 and want to retake? 

It can be retaken in Spring 2027 or Summer 2027.

What if I earn a D, F, or W in in BIOL 2080 in in Summer 2027?

There will not be an option to replace the grade.

Will a passing grade in BIOL 2010 replace a D, F, or W in BIOL 2060?

No

Will a passing grade in BIOL 2020 replace a D, F, or W in BIOL 2080? 

No

What if I earn a D, F, or W in BIOL 2010 or BIOL 2020?

You may retake the course the next semester if there are seats available.

Are retake overrides awarded for BIOL 2060, 2080, 2010, and 2020? 

Repeat overrides are only entered after the pre-registration process is complete. For more information, contact your academic advisor. 

If I want to withdraw from a course and earn a W, who should I consult before withdrawing?
