On-Campus Laboratory: The Linda T. Collins Arboretum
UTC Environmental Science students have direct access to an accredited on-campus arboretum consisting of 40 acres of diverse trees and woody plants integrated into the heart of our campus. This space serves as a primary site for field-based coursework, biodiversity mapping, and hands-on research in urban forestry and ecosystem management. By utilizing this unique campus resource, students gain practical experience in species identification and environmental stewardship without ever leaving university grounds.
