Ask An Archivist
Special Collections offers email reference services to assist scholars in their research.
Before you submit a question, consult our research guide and search descriptions of physical holdings and digital assets discoverable through the following online resources:
Due to the complex nature of large archival collections, researchers should search Finding Aids to identify specific items and files. To search the full text of text-based digital assets, including transcripts for digital holdings, researchers should search Digital Collections, Scholar, and Web Archives.
Special Collections advises researchers who have identified specific materials to review to schedule an in-person or virtual visit, request digitization, or explore additional services.
Special Collections responds to requests in the order they are received. It may take up to ten business days to process your request depending on complexity and personnel availability.
