Reserve a Guerry Center Room
The Guerry Center:
The Guerry Center is home to the UTC Honors College. The building is open Monday - Friday from 7am to 7pm. Honors College students, however, have access to the Guerry Center 24/7.
Rooms in the Guerry Center can be reserved for campus events and student organizations. To reserve a room, complete the below reservation form.
The Reading Room:
The Reading Room is named in honor of the 7th president of the University of Tennessee, Dr. Alexander Guerry, who presided from 1929 until 1938. His focus was on “true learning and sound scholarship, so the University would be an institution of merit and excellence.”
Originally the University Student Center, the Guerry Center underwent an $8 million renovation in 2019 that modernized this historic building while maintaining its signature collegiate gothic style architecture.
Additional Information for Honors Students After Hours Use:
- You have access to the Guerry Center 24/7. After hours, your UTC ID will unlock the front door.
- After hours, non-Honors students need to be accompanied by an Honors student.
- Never prop open the front doors. Make sure the door fully closes behind you.
- Respect the space- clean up after yourself, no inappropriate behavior,
- If there are building issues after hours, call campus police at 423-425-4357.
