Leadership Programs
The Multicultural Leadership Institutes are a three part series designed to help participants gain essential leadership skills for overall personal growth and development.
Each institute provides a multi-tiered approach to leadership development combining:
- Shared reading experience
- Networking event
- Leadership Essentials Workshop
- Leadership Coach’s Panel
- Blue Print/ Run the World Luncheons
The programs are offered during the fall and spring academic terms, as a three date series/offered over 3 months.
Blue Print
Blue Print Multicultural Leadership Institute is open to all students with a focus on collegiate men, inspired by the Blue Print Leadership Luncheon. (Offered fall terms)
Run the World
Run the World Multicultural Leadership Institute is open to all students with a focus on collegiate women, inspired by the Run the World Leadership luncheon. (Offered spring terms)
Institute Format
Each institute will follow a similar outline
Evening Networking Event (Introduction to shared reading text)
Establishes rapport with the following:
- UTC faculty, staff, and alumni
- Community Leaders
- Professionals from various fields
Leadership Coach’s Panel and Leadership Essentials Workshop
Provides the following:
- Insights on career trajectory
- Current leadership trends
- Benchmarks for academic and career success
- Application of shared reading text
Blue Print/ Run the World Leadership Luncheons
Enlists students to do the following:
- Build community
- Connect with campus faculty and staff
- Share experiences and gain insight
- Prepare for life after UTC
