FAFSA
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Access new and existing FAFSA forms through Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education.
UTC uses FAFSA information to determine eligibility for UTC scholarships, Tennessee state scholarships, the Federal Pell Grant and other state and federal financial aid programs including scholarships, grants and loans. UTC's FAFSA code is 003529.
UTC Scholarship Application
Log in to MyMocsNet with your UTC ID and password to complete the UTC Online Scholarship Application. You receive these credentials when you create an account in the UTC application portal.

- UTC Institutional Renewable Merit Scholarships
These annual scholarships are funded by the University and other sources and must be renewed each year. Primary awards include:
- Tennessee HOPE Scholarship
The HOPE Scholarship, funded by the Tennessee Education Lottery, is renewable for up to four years if eligibility is maintained. Qualified students can receive up to $4,500 per academic year as freshmen and sophomores, and up to $5,700 per year as juniors and seniors. Amounts vary based on the specific HOPE scholarship program a student qualifies for, including:
- Traditional
- Non-Traditional
- Aspire Award
- General Assembly Merit Award
The Tennessee HOPE Scholarship now extends to graduate studies at UTC. Qualified students can use the scholarship's fifth year to pursue a master’s degree, making advanced education more affordable and achievable.
- UT Promise
UT Promise covers undergraduate tuition and fees for Tennessee residents with household incomes under $75,000 attending UTC or other UT System schools. As a “last-dollar” scholarship, it takes care of any remaining tuition and mandatory fees after other financial aid has been applied.
- Endowed and Departmental Scholarships
Funded by donations from alumni and supporters, UTC offers undergraduate student scholarships based on academic merit, financial need, field of study and other factors.
