CPT Ezechiel “Zeke” Maher was born in Tarboro, NC. In May of 2014 he graduated from The University of Cincinnati with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. He enlisted in the Airforce on May 5, 2015, where he served as Security Forces for three years. He transitioned to the Army and commissioned through OCS. Upon commissioning he was stationed at Fort Benning, GA where he attended the Armor Basic Officers Course and the Bradley Leaders Course.
Following his time at Fort Benning, CPT Maher was assigned to 1-1 CAV, 2 ABCT, 1 AD in Fort Bliss, Texas. While at Fort Bliss he served in Comanche Troop as a Cavalry platoon leader, before being assigned to HHT as Executive Officer. After his time as the HHT Executive Officer, he served as the 1-1 CAV S4 OIC. CPT Maher was the responsible officer for logistics and resource needs at the ADACG during Operation Allies Welcome before PCS’ing to Maneuver Captains Career Course.
In January of 2022 CPT Maher returned to Fort Benning, GA to attend the Maneuver Captains Career course and the Cavalry Leader’s Course. Upon completion CPT Maher was assigned to 6-8 CAV, 2 ABCT, 3 ID, Fort Stewart, GA where he served as the Squadron AS3 for eight months before being tapped to take command of Bushmaster Troop 6-8 CAV. He then assumed command of Bushmaster Troop where he served as the Commander for 18 months.
SSG Cody LaCroix enlisted in the US Army as a 31B in November of 2012. He attended Military Police OSUT at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. During his time in the US Army, he has been stationed at Fort Cavazos, Fort Campbell, and Vicenza, Italy. He has served in multiple leadership roles throughout his time in service. SSG LaCroix is married to his wife Tabitha LaCroix and has one stepson, Jesse.
Mr. Randy Dockery enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard in January 1989. He served in a variety of leadership roles before retiring as a First Sergeant in June 2012. Mr. Dockery has also retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. He worked for the LVMPD for 25 years, retiring as a Sergeant. Mr. Dockery has been married to his wife Tracy for over 25 years and has two sons.
Mr. Kent Maddox Command Sergeant Major US Army Retired is currently the University of Tennessee Army ROTC Enrollment and Scholarship Officer. Mr. Maddox was born in Memphis, Tn. He enlisted in the United States Army completing basic training and advance individual training at Fort Bliss, Texas. He has held numerous leadership positions at a variety of duty stations over his tenure on the Army. CSM Maddox is married to the lovely Kelli Maddox and has two children: Paige and Brock.
Mr. Brian Drake enlisted in the Army in 1986 as a 42A; he retired in 2007 and joined the Mocs BN in 2013 as our Human Resources Assistant. He is married to his wife of 39 years, Darthy Drake, and is the father to 2 sons and 1 daughter.
SFC Gregory Cosby is from Chattanooga, TN, and enlisted in the military in June 2004 as a 13P Multiple Launch Rocket System Specialist. He completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood and AIT at Fort Sill. Promoted to Staff Sergeant in 2014, he served as Fire Direction Control Section Chief with the 1-181st Field Artillery BN in Lawrenceburg, TN. In 2017, he became a Battery Operations NCO and later transitioned to a Non-Career Recruiter and Retention NCO in October 2018. His military education includes various leadership and recruiting courses. SFC Cosby deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom (2007-2008, 2009-2010) and Operation Enduring Freedom (2011-2013). His decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism medals, Combat Action Badge, and several campaign and service medals.
Mrs. Juanita Wade is a native of Chattanooga as well as a two-time graduate of UTC in 1996 and 2004. At this time, she is working on her third degree in Environmental Science so she can ultimately retire to the Tybee Island, GA area and work with sea turtle conservationists. She has held several positions on campus including the Registrar’s Office, Housing, and the UTC Police Department. She has a daughter and a son, three grandsons, and two puppers.
