Partnerships
The UTC Quantum Initiative is committed to establishing new partnerships and to growing existing collaborations with fellow institutions within the UT System and other universities in the region, as well as with Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Chattanooga Quantum Collaborative (CQC)
Beyond its potential to create wealth and drive economic mobility, quantum technology holds promise for enhancing national and individual security, and helping solve complex global challenges like optimization in industries ranging from logistics to energy to advanced manufacturing. These quantum-powered breakthroughs aren’t just theoretical possibilities. They are inevitable, waiting for people with vision to make them happen.
The Chattanooga Quantum Collaborative (CQC) is bringing these people together.

Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C)
The Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) is a consortium of stakeholders that aims to enable and grow the quantum industry. QED-C was established with support from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as part of the Federal strategy for advancing quantum information science and as called for by the National Quantum Initiative Act enacted in 2018.
Today, QED-C is managed by SRI International and has support from multiple agencies and a diverse set of industry, academic, and other stakeholders. QED-C participants are working together to identify gaps in technology, standards, and workforce and to address those gaps through collaboration.
