The Quantum Center began as a UTC initiative in Quantum Information Science and Engineering, establishing a program of excellence in education, innovation and economic development enabled by Quantum Technology.
The University‘s Quantum Center includes a node on the EPB Quantum Network powered by Qubitekk, deployed by EPB of Chattanooga.

What's the Quantum Center Built On?
Engaging all UTC colleges in building applied R&D capacity in Quantum Information Science and Engineering, and leveraging our access—as the first university in the country to be part of a commercial quantum network—to the EPB Quantum Network powered by Qubitekk.
Delivering experiential learning in Quantum Information Science and Engineering to undergraduates and graduate students in STEM and non-STEM disciplines, and engaging the UTC Center for Professional Education to provide upskilling opportunities to those already in the workforce.
Engaging with partners in the economic development ecosystem in Chattanooga and the region to apply Quantum Information Science and Engineering developments to advancing quality of life for all residents.
