Online Training for Athletes
In August 2017, the NCAA adopted the NCAA Board of Governors Policy on Campus Sexual Violence. There are several requirements noted within the policy, including training requirements for student-athletes. The policy requires that student-athletes are educated regarding "sexual violence prevention, intervention and response".
UTC is dedicated to providing a safe, healthy environment for all of our students. In response to the NCAA mandate, and in order to ensure a healthy environment, UTC is requiring all current student-athletes to complete an online training module, Everfi's Sexual Assault Prevention for Student Athletes.
Sexual Assault Prevention for Student Athletes includes information about the following topics:
- Leadership
- Positive values
- Healthy and unhealthy relationships
- Bullying
- Hazing
- Sexual harassment and sexual violence
- Consent
- Bystander intervention strategies
- Support and resources
