Departmental Visits
We are so happy you are coming for a departmental visit at UTC!
Thank you for registering for a departmental visit at UTC! Please make sure to read the information listed below and print out your parking pass before your visit.
Departmental visits require you to sign up prior to the visit. If you have not signed up, please use the "schedule a visit" button on the bottom of the page. Visitors who do not sign up cannot participate in the departmental visits program.
On the day of your visit
Depending on whether you registered for and are attended the morning (11:00 am) or afternoon (2:00 pm) tour, your check in location will be different.
Please remember that departmental visits do not contain a campus tour. You will need to register for the campus tour separately if you want to attend the campus tour during your visit.
Departmental visits are only for the specific departments listed. If a department is not listed, they are currently not participating in the departmental tour program.
If you registered for and are attending the 11:00 am tour:
Please proceed to the Admissions Tour Center (University Center, Room 272) and follow the Tour Instructions page. Please let the staff in the admissions tour center know that you have a departmental visit scheduled. The staff will point out the location of your visit during the tour or escort you there if possible.
You will receive 2 texts regarding your visit, one for the tour and one for the department visit. Please respond to both of these texts as you need to check in separately for both visits.
If you registered for and are attending the 2:00 pm tour:
Please proceed directly to the meeting location for your departmental visit (listed below). Make sure to return back to the Admissions Tour Center (University Center, Room 272) before 2 pm to check in to your tour.
You will receive 2 texts regarding your visit, one for the tour and one for the department visit. Please respond to both of these texts as you need to check in separately for both visits.
If you are not attending attending the campus tour:
Please proceed directly to the meeting location for your departmental visit (listed below).
You will receive a text regarding your departmental visit at roughly 11:30 am (MW) or 12 pm (Th). Please make sure to check in so we know you are on campus!

-
Don't be late. Remember, Chattanooga is in the Eastern Time Zone. All times listed are Eastern. We are one hour ahead of the Central Time Zone (Nashville, Memphis, etc).
