Projected Tuition Estimates for Non-Tennessee Residents
All non-Tennessee residents qualify for a tuition discount per semester at UTC, now referred to as the Non-Resident Rate. Non-Tennessee residents may also qualify for a greater discount called the Non-Resident Regional County Discount.

Welcome aboard North Georgia and Jackson County, Alabama Students!
Incoming students from non-Tennessee regional counties in North Georgia and Alabama are saving thousands of dollars with UTC's regional tuition rate. Participating students pay in-state tuition and receive a 50% discount off the non-resident tuition amount.
The regional county rate is only available to undergraduate students in the following counties:
- Georgia: Catoosa, Dade, Fannin, Murray, Walker and Whitfield
- Alabama: Jackson
How can a student receive the regional county discount?
Students can access the regional county waiver form on the UTC Undergraduate Admissions Forms website. The regional county waiver will be applied after a student has been accepted to UTC and registered for classes. To complete the process you will need to fill out the regional county waiver and provide a copy of the student's license.
