Computer Science and Engineering Research
Research
UTC's Computer Science program is one of the most comprehensive and well-rounded computer science and engineering programs available. The program emphasizes applying theoretical knowledge to practical problems, in order to prepare students for their career. Our faculty is involved. UTC Computer Science students benefit from smaller classes and a low student/teacher ratio which means more interaction with your teachers. We have been where you are and understand that you need to be challenged and encouraged. All classes are taught by faculty with professional degrees. Most faculty hold the Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline. Our program is varied. At the undergraduate level, you can study Software Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering, and Cyber Security. Our department also offers a Master's degree and Ph.D. We prepare you for the real world. Our students have opportunities for internships, co-op experience and special projects within the College. This is part of why you'll find our graduates working for Fortune 500 companies, local, state and federal government agencies. They have also gone on to graduate programs in computer science, engineering, and medicine.
