Dean Valerie Rutledge congratulates a graduating student.

Dear Students of the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies,

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and in order to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty , staff, and families, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga took the extraordinary action of postponing commencement ceremonies and all related festivities originally scheduled for May 1-2. Although we had hoped to hold these events in late July and early August, the continued escalation of the numbers of cases in Tennessee and Hamilton County has led to the cancellation of these ceremonies.

We celebrate your achievements and wish for you success as you move into the next phase of your careers, whether it be in another degree program, in a professional position, or in a brand-new direction.

Best wishes for a bright and exciting future!
