Every May, the Walker Center for Teaching and Learning hosts a free teaching and learning conference for UTC faculty. This conference typically provides a keynote speaker and presentations by faculty on a variety of teaching and learning topics. We have 80-100 participants each year. 2019: Todd Zakrajsek, Associate Professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, "Understanding How Students Learn: A Focus on Cognitive Load and Mindset"

In 2019, we established the Grayson H. Walker Excellence in Teaching Award and recognized the recipient at the conference.
