Fall Research Conference Presenter Information
A Note to Presenters: To participate in the virtual conference, you must upload presentation materials (video presentations, posters, screencasts) to the Symposium by ForagerOne conference platform by Sunday, October 26, 2025. Presentations (posters, videos, etc.) will be available for viewing on demand on Tuesday, October 28 and Wednesday October 29, 2025. Presenters who wish to engage with “virtual attendees” on the Symposium platform are encouraged to utilize the "Comments" tool. This tool provides a fun and accessible way for presenters and conference attendees virtual visitors to share ideas, ask questions, and provide feedback. |
- Important Dates
- Presenters must submit presentation materials on the Symposium by ForagerOne platform by 11:00pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
- The UTC Fall Research Conference will be held virtually via Symposium on Tuesday, October 28 and Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
- Presenter Eligibility
You must be an active, currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in good judicial and academic standing to participate.
- Steps to Presenting Your Project at the Fall Research Conference
- Contact the Office for URaCE to request the presenter instructions and the presentation materials submission link.
- Prepare your presentation materials. If you need a UTC branded poster or slide deck template, see the Poster/ Slide Deck Templates section below.
- Upload your presentation materials to Symposium by ForagerOne via the submission tool by 11 pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
- Submission Materials
Prepare these items before you access the submission form.
- Abstract or Project Description (see detailed information below).
- Presentation file (see detailed information about presentation formats below).
- Symposium by ForagerOne Media Option Details
Presentation media options are listed below. Presenters will select the preferred media option (see options 1 and 2 below) on the conference submission form.
Media Options
On the materials submission form, you will select ONE of the options listed below.
Media Option 1: Upload a PDF of the poster or oral (slide deck) presentation.
Select this option to upload a poster or oral presentation file. The poster or slide deck presentation file must be saved as a PDF file. The PDF file must not exceed 10MB. Use Smallpdf.com or another online tool to compress your file if necessary.
NOTE: If you select this media option, you may also upload a video to accompany the poster or slide deck presentation. This is completely OPTIONAL.
Media Option 2: Video/Screencast only
If you would like to share a video presentation, slide deck screencast, or performance (3-15 minutes) without a poster file or slide deck, select this option.
NOTE: If you select this option, you will NOT upload the video or screencast file directly to the Symposium portal. For this option, you will record the video and upload the media file to YouTube. Please make the YouTube video settings UNLISTED**. You will submit the YouTube video link within the Symposium presenter submission form.

- Abstracts/Project Descriptions
An abstract or project description is required (400 word maximum) with your submission. This document will be displayed with your presentation.
Abstracts (or descriptions) should contain the following information:
- A brief introduction to the project/subject area
- A hypothesis, project goal, or specific aim
- A brief description of the methods used to address the aim/goal
- Results
- Conclusions or Impact Statement regarding the body of work.
