Transitioning to DASH Research - Export Control Module
Transitioning to DASH
As part of our commitment to improving the operational efficiency in export control, we are transitioning to a new system, DASH Research Export Control Module. We are excited to announce the official launch of our new DASH Research Export Control Module on Monday 09/29/2025. This new platform is designed to streamline our internal export control communications, enhance faculty, staff, and students experience, reduce the administrative burden, and improve data management.
This initiative is a critical step in our mission to be a driving force for excellence by actively engaging students, faculty, and staff; inspiring positive change; and enriching and sustaining the community.
Access to the new system is granted to all UTC users on the launch date of 09/29/2025. However, the University-wide migration to DASH Research-Export Control Module will be incremental and based on the capacity of the existing infrastructure and the ability to adapt to change. As of now, we are requiring its use for International Travel, Visitor Engaged in Research (VEiR) and H-1B VISA requests. Other types of requests such as Shipment, Purchasing, Sponsored Research, Collaborations, and Other Agreements will be available soon in the future. You can access DASH Research Export Control Module at dash.tennessee.edu/home.
International Travel request: effective 11/01/2025.
Visitor Engaged in Research (VEiR) request: effective on 02/01/2026.
H-1B VISA request: Effective 02/01/2026.
